Craig is CEO of Richard's Financial, located in Scott City, KS.
Craig graduated from University of Arkansas in 1988 with a BS in Business Administration. He has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in Qualified Retirement Plans and investment management. Craig enjoys attending the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Annual Meeting in Omaha, NE. where he gets to learn from the Oracle of Omaha himself, Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger. Craig also attends the Morningstar conference in Chicago on a yearly basis. He also attends various presentations by mutual fund managers, stock pickers, and research analysts. He keeps up-to-date on all the regulatory changes for Qualified and Non-Qualified Retirement Plans, as well as IRA's by attending the Acsensus Fall Forum. He's married and currently lives in Scott City, KS. On his free time he enjoys playing the guitar in his local band and at church.


Nathan Schwantes

Nathan began his career in the finance business in 2009 as an independent health and life insurance agent. He then joined S&A Financial Services, Inc. in 2011 working as an advisor assistant and insurance planner. In 2021 Nathan transitioned to become a registered investment advisor at S&A Financial Services, Inc.
Nathan went to Northwest Missouri State University in 1995. After college he worked as a professional event planner for Stanford Productions. In the year 2000 He started his own event planning company called North Star Events, LLC which is currently still in business and being operated by his daughter in law. Nathan also owned and operated Embassy Bistro & Bar in Westport, Kansas City from 2006 – 2008. Nathan has been a member of the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association for 14 years as well as a past member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Over the past 22 years Nathan has been involved and planned multiple charitable events in the Kansas City area helping to raise thousands of dollars for a variety of good causes. He is also a proud father to his son who is serving in the United States Marines and recently welcomed a granddaughter in 2021. In his free time Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and traveling.

Greg has been with S&A Financial Services, Inc. since 2001. Greg specializes in working with small business owners and their CPA planners to provide proactive / wholistic solutions. Greg has also worked with those in the higher education industry. Greg currently hosts a podcast, Small Business Financial Podcast, designed to provide small business owners tools, resources, and strategies to make their small businesses run more efficiently.

Before joining S&A, he was employed by Charles Schwab & Co., Inc as a Senior Registered Broker. Greg has spoken at various higher education conferences regarding retirement and has been an adjunct lecturer at various local community colleges speaking on financial related topics. Greg currently holds a CFS designation. Greg is married with one daughter, Brinkley, and they currently live in Lenexa, KS.

Curtis Shepard

Curtis is the founder and President of S&A Financial Services, Inc. Curtis began his career over 30 years ago in the financial planning field. Curtis is a Certified Financial Planner and has specialized in working with those in higher education. After spending 18 years with a national insurance company designing and implementing retirement plans in the 403(b) field, he started his own company to bring independent services to his clients. Curtis incorporated S&A Financial Services, Inc. in 1993 and filed as a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm. His vision of providing professional, objective, and personalized financial guidance continues today with clients all over the country.
Curtis and his wife Debbie have been married for over 40 years and have two sons, one of which, works for S&A Financial Services, Inc. Curtis and his wife have resided in the Kansas City metro area since 1974. Curtis is an avid outdoorsman and he and Debbie enjoy spending time at their second home in Scottsdale, AZ. and travelling to new destinations together. They also enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.

Ron Schwantes, CFP

Ron was born in 1946 and raised on a dairy farm in Southwest Wisconsin which is still the Schwantes family farm to this day. Ron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. In addition Ron has earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner (CFP®). Ron is an active member of The Financial Planning Association, (FPA) and Bella Vista Business Association. He is also a past President of the Blue Springs Rotary. In his free time, Ron enjoys playing golf, recording/producing gospel music albums and spending time with his family. He is also active in his local church and community.
Ron began his career in financial planning and asset management in 1995, after a 25 year career in retail management. Ron specializes in wealth management, as well as, pre/post-retirement planning, focusing on his client’s overall objectives as they advance through the various stages of their lives.
